Swinburne University of Technology
A new software technique developed by researchers at Melbourne's Swinburne University of Technology will allow researchers to present interactive 3D models of their work to readers.
The technique involves interactive 3D visualisations being embedded into
Adobe PDF files so that readers can click on the image, zoom in and out,
rotate it, and view it from different angles.
Developed by Dr. Christopher Fluke, an astronomer based at Swinburne's Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing together with astronomer Dr David Barnes, the technique could be used to create an interactive textbook.
